How do I list my class ranking on my resume?

If you choose to include your GPA and/or class ranking on your resume, you must do so in the exact manner presented by the Registrar’s Office. If you are unsure of the cut-off point for your GPA within the class rankings, please refer to the Registrar’s website here: http://www.bu.edu/law/current-students/jd-student-resources/curricular-requirements/grades-honors/.

NOTE: Do not attempt to estimate your class rank based on your GPA. Any attempt to do so violates BU Law’s regulations. As such, providing rankings below the top 1/3 of the class is incorrect and not permitted. And remember, BU Law grades are based on a 4.3 scale (not 4.0).

The information you include on your resume must be completely accurate and truthful to the best of your knowledge. Please refer to the CDO’s full policy on Resume Integrity on our website: https://www.bu.edu/law/current-students/career-development/application-materials/resumes/resume-integrity/

Amber Berthod says: Can I put Business Fundamentals on my grade sheet if I have passed the final exam? Chloe Gabrielle Morse says:

You may add Business Fundamentals to your grade sheet if it is listed on your transcript. The grade sheet is a reflection of your transcript, so if Business Fundamentals is not listed on your transcript, it should not be listed on your grade sheet.
